Details Important Information For All Customers

We have recently been advised by Royal Mail of a change of terms for items sent unrecorded. From 9th January 2012 Royal Mail will no longer pay compensation for the loss or damage of items sent that do not include a tracking element. This includes both domestic and international services. From January, Royal Mail will only pay compensation for Special Delivery, Royal Mail Tracked and International Signed For. Should you decide not to pay for tracking services and your parcel goes missing then you will no longer be entitled to compensation.

On a similar note, Royal Mail will also be changing the holding period for items they cannot deliver to a standard period of 18 days for all post. This meas if your parcel could not be delivered to you because there was no answer etc then they will hold it at your local sorting office for 18 days until they send it back to us.
